16) Do a cheese tasting 27 Jan 2012

There seems to be a running theme this week with our to-do list: it starts with ‘C’ and rhymes with ‘assy.’

From learning to tie a Windsor Knot (the classiest of neck ties) to spending an elegant evening at the opera (you can’t get more classy than that) to attending Night School for Cheese Fans (last night’s classy excursion), I can honestly say we’ve had our maximum dosage of ‘classy’ for the week.

If you’re at all interested in enhancing your knowledge and appreciation of fine cheese, I highly recommend taking a class at the Leslieville Cheese Market. It was a big hit for us.

Our cheese session was led by industry expert, Julia Rogers. For only $20 (per person) we were served a delectable mix of five different alpine cheeses (last night’s cheese theme), paired with a bottomless glass of Pierre Sparr Riesling. Julia did an impressive job of discussing each cheese with enthusiasm, care and cultural insight.

We left feeling classier than ever.

(Tonight we’ll be taking a trapeze class just to level things out a little).
